I love seeing the variety of cattle that graze the Somerset Levels close to where I live. It's always good to see calves being brought up with their mothers and enjoying each other's company. I know many of these calves will have relatively short lives and are destined for the butchers .... but better a short life lived out in freedom, beauty and contentment than shut away in a crowded barn without their mothers.
