Tui's in the Kowhai..

Had a call from my sister today to say the Tui's were very busy in the Kowhai tree. She wasn't wrong at one stage we had 15 - 17 ducking and diving around us.. but it is very hard to get them to sit still, or if they are still they are behind a branch.. but this was one that was reasonable..
That's the best photo of the bird and the flower! Love to see the beautiful colour of the Tui in any more?

love your composition...an interesting bird, is that a tuft of white on his throat/chest?....yellow background really sets the scene...well done!

@maggiemae @genesis_one @rustymonkey Thanks for your comments.. It was well worth the time spent snapping this busy bird.. @ianrm Yes Ian It has a white tuft on its chest, It is sometimes called the Paarson Bird.. I will post another image later that shows it up more..

@julzmaioro We live in the Uk Julie but both sons emigrated to NZ , one is dairy farming just north of Morrinsville & the other was dairy farming but now gone beef & sheep at Waingaro. We come over every year to visit usually in Feb time when it's quieter on the farm.
