My two oldest grandaughters had their school Calf Club on Saturday. This is a bit of a dying institution in NZ now as there are less and less country schools doing them.. The children have a calf, lamb, goat, chicken. take full care and responsibilty for them for about 6 weeks and then present them on Ag Day.. prizes for leading , care and attention and type.. This is Barney with Kenna.. He is 6 weeks old and Kenna has looked after him all that time.. He is a Freisian Swiss Brown x. She got a prize in all catergaries .. 2nd for leading..
