How many of you 'cut your teeth' on a box brownie.. probably all over 55 at any rate.. It was with a camera like this that I won $10 with my photo of my brother in a summer holiday competition in the News Paper .. around 1970.. must admit it is far easier using a DSLR I have these day's .. being able to delete all the not so good rather than having to develop them.
This Camera and typewriter were amongst the treasures that we saw at the Woodlands Estate we visited yesterday when we met up with @happypat..
Very nice - I never had a box brownie (or a brother for that matter) to win a photography competition! Obviously your photography skills began at a young age. I thought you were going to ask who cut their teeth learning keyboard skills on a typewriter like this!
I learned on an Underwood, used carbon paper, along with white-out and the round rubber brush thingy but not the Brownie. We had Kodak cameras with flashcubes instead. Nice shot of memories.
Ha ha ... I had two brothers, but no Brownie! Super image Julia. Now we'd love to see the photo that won you $10!
