Oh Kim...what a gorgeous, precious dog! My first thought was Burmese Mountain Dog...I've never heard of a Tibetan Mastiff. I love "big dogs"...gentle giants! You captured him beautifully!
@Weezilou thanks! They are a breed that has only recently been recognized by the AKC. My mom has one as well. She will soon be getting another and Trip will be getting a little brother from the same litter. My other aunt (my mom and uncle's sister) breeds them. She has 5 and just had a litter of nine. She will be keeping one from the litter too (so she will have 6). They are all dog crazy.
@kaldara LOL! I was raised in a "dog crazy" family in my youth... I segued to just cats...they eat less and are easier to clean up after! Then...I see a face like this...and I totally "get it" why you can't stop collecting them!
