This has a timeless feel about it which is just as it should be, given that the pain of loss is an eternal one. It's particularly poignant to me at the moment as my nearest neighbour is mourning the recent loss of her daughter in the same circumstances as Halil.
thankyou all, this was a particularly trying day and i had the title in my head already, most of the titles lately come from some songs i have been listening to, which seem to speak loudly. the original photo was nothing like this, wasnt even sad looking but i played with it until it said what i wanted it to say, amazing how much difference the contrast slider can make to the emotion of a portrait!!
