Luckily for you I’ve got two family members visiting who are walking thesaurus’s and they have thrown out the word ‘Palimpsest’, (see definitions: https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/palimpsest) which essentially involves capturing something that has historical layers added to it.
