The Gallery where I volunteer was once a bank and in the vault there is a permanent collection of Pounamu (jade) carving. A sign on the wall says No Photography, but I dont think you can actually see the pieces very well in this shot. For my get-pushed challenge of "Treasures"

Luckily for you I’ve got two family members visiting who are walking thesaurus’s and they have thrown out the word ‘Palimpsest’, (see definitions: https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/palimpsest) which essentially involves capturing something that has historical layers added to it. Images from the past, coming through to the present, if that makes sense…
Great image...challenge met...I imagine you'll sneak a photo in the Sistine Chapel if you haven't already 😆 I will admit the minute they say no photographs it's the first thing I want to and often do..🤫
