cornered

i got them while they were in my tiny kitchen cooking popcorn....playing with an old takumar lens, i like the extreme bokeh , but the aperture blades are not what you could call snappy and the focus ring sticks sometimes, does anyone know if you can fix these?
I wouldn't want to fix a lens that took this shot, It's full of character....

Beautiful capture! The picture has so much emotion in it so it surprised me when you said they were making popcorn! Fav

Totally agree, don't loose or fix that lens. The quality that it can bring to a portrait is depth of character and emotion and so much more. A fav!

Excellent, kali. I'm sure fixing the 'stiction' won't ruin the character, just make it easier to use and then you'll want to use it more. Get it fixed, I say.

I have to agree witht the above comments, but pehaps post your question here: http://www.dslrsolutions.net/3165/using-takumar-vintage-lenses-for-video-with-m42-to-eos-adapter/

@jack4john iTs just that sometimes the aperture doesnt respond to the clicks, ie its not opening and shutting properly, and there is a click when the focus ring frees itself, i think maybe it has a screw loose !

@365projectorgsebgritt I will if i can find anyone locally that can do it, i have seen video of other lenses being taken apart for repair but a bit beyond myself

@blueberry1222 @jack4john @365projectorgsebgritt @joysabin i picked up another one cheaply today anyway, so this one can wait , @marymacaroni thanks Mary i think candid unposed shots are best, but they only tolerate me for a short time then start pulling faces and hiding
