I like how the forms of the pears are like forerunners to Picasso's later very stylised nudes. Here are two of his stillifes with pears..

i could have gone on playing with this for ages, but I am beat,. I spent the day bottling and making pear butter. .. and the tree is still full.
So observant, nicely done.

I am enjoying the pears here too - $1 per kilo at most roadside stores. What an interesting still-life you have shown us here showcasing the form of the fruit.
