@kali66 thanks Kali. you'll miss your boy always.. perhaps just feeling it more days than others. Yesterday we had a team building day with the new team new job i am now at.. it was probably the best team building day i've done!! but in talking about 'me' i was a little ambushed by those sad feelings for a short while.
A good friend lost her 18 year old son some years ago in similar circumstances to yours.. She recommended a book 'What Abi taught us" by Lucy Hone. She said it would have helped a lot in the lonely grief path after Nick died.. Similarly I've recently read it and her writing about resilient grieving was extremely helpful. I'd also recommend it. I got it from my local library, but think at some stage I'll buy it. Take care x
