i love this rose, its been here longer than i have and is always healthy and flourishing, it flowers over a long period too.

The colour is so intriguing, sort of an ombre effect. It is nice light with the velvety dark background.

@kandkids i looked up ombre and it was all about hair, but i know what you mean it has a lovely undertone when the flowers are young

Mark's mums house might have sold and I'm thinking of taking some of her plants (azalea and roses). One of her roses has been there since they bought the place in the 60s, and it has bloomed every year again after she passed away. It's the same colour as yours, though a different type of rose.

@overalvandaan always worth saving plants, , take some cuttings at least, they usually easy to grow from cuttings. but not sure if its the best time of year to do it... if you can dig up the root it should be ok with some tlc. do both.
