The Wind Blows Where it Wishes

Has anyone ever told you that Kansas is windy? Oh yeah, that tornado thing.

Just finished cleaning out a shed on a hot, windy day. Feeling a little off at the moment.

I love the light on these images, the collage presentation, and the black and white. My mother lived in Great Bend, Kansas, from 1922-1941 and never experienced a tornado--the Dust Bowl, yes.

Love this wonderful collage, very striking. Many years ago I flew to Missouri to visit relatives, my brother and his young son drove from Oregon. My brother was relating the drive across Kansas as flat for miles and miles and miles (not something we see in the northwest) but he said he had to hand it to them as they had so many rest stop along their highways, I told him that is why it is called the Land of Ahs... Just wanted to share with you the one thing I know about Kansas.
