Today was a travel home day. We stopped at a Bass Pro Shop. They are all over the United States but this was my first time in one. It has everything a fisherman, hunter, rock climber or any outdoorsman would want. They had boats, ATV's, clothes and almost anything you could think of. The store is full of giant stuffed animals, a large aquarium and you can sit down for lunch. Fortunately we only bought a pair of sunglasses and took a few pictures.
That's kind off scary stuff ! The fish looks like its about to leap out of the image. The composition is great your eye is led down to somewhere else and dread to think what lies in wait. Great PoV and Dof it's a tremendous image :-)
@shirleytemple It's funny that you live in Australia and have been to the Bass Pro shop and @kbalychev You live in Canada now, they must have a shop there there. So I need to get out more.
@paul2782 Haha! I guess that fish is big and scary! While I was watching the aquarium one of the fish spit out a penny. Some people must have mistaken the tank for a wishing well.
With a husband and son who fish and hunt I am well acquainted with Bass Pro! Our son has applied for a job there during his final semester... he would be in heaven! With hunters and fisherman AND getting a paycheck, which he would promptly all spend at Bass Pro! His employer would love it! An interesting place even if it is just to take photos! You captured a lot of its essence!
Nice collage! I took some shots there awhile back and was freaked out by all the dust that showed up on the taxidermy shots. Your POV was much better than mine!!
I LOVE Bass Pro. There is now one about 30 miles from me and I've been there once. Talk about an interesting place...I could wander around for hours.
There is also a wonderful restaurant attached to it which has countless stuffed fish arranged very realistically all around the room. It was like being under the ocean amidst schools of fish. I had a lovely salmon dinner. :-)
