Countdown 10 by kathyladley

Countdown 10

I am ten photos away from completing one year of taking a photo a day. I thought it would be fun to start celebrating now and sharing how much this year has meant to me. Everyday I will share a different reason this has been such an amazing project.

10. It has made me learn all of the buttons on my camera and my husbands camera which I have borrowed in the name of good photography.
Wow! That close already? I am sixty three days away but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

@steampowered It is hard to believe my year is about finished. You will be finished around the new year?

Yay! Let the countdown begin! You have really grown as a photographer... I need to catch up! Still don't know what a lot of the buttons on my camera are for! Love the lumpy, bumpy textures in the gourd to the right!

You really know how to do squashes in the US! Nearly a year; brilliant!. Congratulations :-)

Nice capture!

You have done well - you started at probably the most difficult time of the year with the failing light. That is a really knobbly squash at the back - have never seen anything like that

Yay, my goodness, well done! It's made a big difference to me as well, I've loved it. This is a great still life shot.

cool gourds! pretty presentation with the textured background. congrats on your 355 pics! looking forward to the next 375! ;-)
ps. are gourds squash? i'll have to look that up.
October 28th, 2013
thanks kathy, for tweaking my curiosity. from what i see in a very brief search, gourds are not squash but they're both in the same family, as are pumpkins ---- Cucurbita. yours are very pretty.

@sunnygreenwood Anne, Thanks for looking that up and letting me know. I did not know that answer. Taking pictures does make you want to know more about the subject!

This is a great shot. Are you going to keep going with the project? I hope you do.
October 29th, 2013
@bristolrose Thanks so much Kathryn, I will keep going but at a slower pace.
