I finally caught a decent picture of the male Anna's hummingbird! He doesn't often display these brilliant red feathers. Notice, too, his little tongue sticking out...I guess he's not happy at having his picture taken!

Spectacular -- what lens did you use and I presume you used a tripod?

@jyokota Thanks! I got a brand-new 100-400 Canon lens for Christmas! Yay! No tripod. I have a lot of birds in my back yard so I've just been running from window to window with my new toy saying "EEEEEEEEeeeeeeee" :) I lean on things to brace the camera so it doesn't shake too much.
