Whoops

The smudge on the window is from a Kereru (NZ Wood Pigeon) that came to a sudden halt as it met a window on the side of my house in full flight. A loud "BANG"
This has happened a number of times before as I live in the bush and the windows would reflect the trees like a mirror.
The Kereru, dazed, fell into a Ponga tree below, and ,after a shake of the head, a think of "what the heck was that" flew off on it's merry way.
Oh no. Must’ve been a big thud as they’re solid numbers. Lucky it managed to fly away. We had one crash into the window and it broke it’s sternum and spent 6 weeks at bird rescue.

Neat against black.

We also sometimes get dazed birds after hearing a loud thud, as we have big windows through which one can see another window. This smudge actually does resemble a bird with wings on the side.

@lmsa Thanks for the comment Louise. We have had a number of birds crash into the windows, most have just left a little mark. The reason why this one grabbed my attention visually was the fact that the wings were also there as well. :-)

Yes it healed well. We had an ‘angel’ print on the window much like your image.
