My sweet friends put on a little birthday dinner for me last night. It's not my birthday for a few more days but it was a good night to get together. I had such a fun time with an amazing meal and even a cake overloaded with candles. We've been living in this town for just over a year and a half now, and the people that I've met here are so kind, generous and friendly and have gone out of their way to welcome me. I feel so lucky to be here.
