Blue hour over the mountains by kiwichick

Blue hour over the mountains

Okay so I am supposed to be taking a photo of something I wore today for the March challenge. But it was such a busy day and this was my only shot. I'm a little late getting it up as I've just got the new version of photoshop and I have no idea how to use it! So I did what I could with this. I'm also shooting in RAW still which is great but I have a lot to learn! I've just started a 2 year part time Digital photography course so I'm going to be a busy woman as it's supposed to take about 20 hours per week.

Saying all that, I want to thank all of you who view and comment on my photos. I love reading what you have to say and I welcome any feedback as well. I have been a pretty bad follower of late and I can't see it becoming any better now. So I do appoligise for that. I do try and view/comment on your photos when I have the time, it may be fairly sporadic though.
wow! what amazing sky! i really like that lone bright star

Wow is right. This is beautiful Lesley. Did you take that today? I'm curious that it's so much darker there than here. :-) I love seeing all your photos and I am also terrible at commenting, but I do really love to see all the pics and appreciate your comments too! Makes me feel a little bit more in touch after all this time... :-) What course are you taking? I am also about to embark on my MFA starting in June. Part-time so it will take me forever, but have to start somewhere. :-)

BTW, the Classroom in a Book series is really good for learning new programs. :-)

Photoshop is overwhelming - just take it one chapter (or feature) at a time! I still need to shoot in RAW. Two years is a long course - hope you enjoy it. I want to enroll in some photography classes sometime soon.

@smevvy @beba8162 Thanks for your comments, I was lucky to be in the right place at the right time!
@triciabauman Thanks Tric. I took this last night (6.22!). I am so happy you are doing 365 too as it's lovely keeping in touch more because of it. I'm doing a distance learning course at the Southland Institute of Technology in NZ. The creditation is a Diploma in Digital photography. My friend in town is also doing it which is very helpful! We do have a text book but I haven't got that yet! How long will your MFA take?
@russianblue I've been looking forward to doing this for a while, and I decided I would start shooting in RAW when I started the course. Now I just have to work out what I am doing!

Very pretty, my one photo days aren't nearly so nice. :) Wow, a two year course, that is a commitment. Is it online?

Wow - 2 year course!! I expect you'll be sharing all your knowledge here with us? ;-) Beautiful small town blue hour here.

@tinatmmc The course has started off really well. I'm starting to get the hang of PS too!! @beckys @rockinrobyn @pukeko @jupiter394 @pwallis Thanks so much for the comments. The course is normally 1 year but I'm doing it two years part time. The course is online and it's actually in NZ. I have a friend in town who is doing it with me so that'll help with the motivation and assignments at least.
