I really wanted to make this photo work. I tried a portrait and landscape crop and finally settled on a square with a cant. Does it work for you or should I just flag it?? It is just so sweet when they all hold hands... Any editing opinions greatly welcomed :)
I personally wouldn't add noise. The only thing I would suggest is maybe take the contrast down a bit. The kids look a bit washed out while the trees are a bit dark. For a little creative touch, you could play around with a vignette, but I would make it very, very slight...to a point you can hardly tell you used a vignette. It also might be fun to try to do a subtle overlay. I like to use www.pixlr.com/o-matic/ occasionally to add touches like that. Just a couple thoughts!
@tinatmmc Thanks for the comments. The original image was rather overexposed so the kids merged into the street. That's why I had upped the contrast so much! I think I did add a little vignette already (must have been very subtle!!). I'd love to add an overlay but I wouldn't be able to for the course as we're only allowed to edit in photoshop RAW. Hmmm, I'm thinking I should just flag this one to submit. Bummer though as I liked the idea.
I think it's great as is...I wondered about being able to use other edits for your course. I only suggested it to add some fun, but it doesn't need it. And the contrast thing was just minor...definitely use it!
