The Honorable Judith Guichon, Lieutenant Governor of BC

Last week my daughter came home saying that the Queen's Ambassador was coming to the school. Stories ranged about who the visitor was, with some kids coming home saying that the Queen herself would be visiting. It was a big deal and the kids in different grades practiced performances for her. My daughters class sang "Let it go" with a few of the older students leading the singing, as most of them knew the words already. However I was videoing that so here is a photo of our esteemed visitor instead, with our Mayor behind, leaving from the assembly.
That's really special...something the kids will always remember. So nice that you could go too.

I've never heard of this title - seems to incorporate army with political titles! However she looks very capable and pleased to see the reception!

@maggiemae Neither had I. But she is basically the provincial Governor General. There are 10 Lieutenant Governors in Canada (one for each province) and 3 Commissioners (one for each territory). I learnt that today!
