@aliha I need to find a better focus method myself. I was just using the standard One Shot - AF and then I focused it in the sand at the start of the pit and waited until he reached that point and then took the shot. With ski racing I manually focus on the gate and only take one shot per racer. I need to know a better way to focus on a moving target for sure!

@kiwichick Yes interesting. I don't shoot the volume of action like you do so I haven't played with AI Servo enough to really get to know it, but the times I've tried it's been pretty hit and miss. I don't know that there is a better way!!

@aliha Thanks Alison. I've heard back button focus can work really well but I've only tried it once and it didn't work for me that time. Another photographer told me about a method he uses in the custom settings but it was a bit beyond me and I didn't have time to ask him to explain it in more detail. I must learn a better way though, as many things I photograph have a moving target.
