Another year starts. We arrived just in time for the opening of the Rainbow Crosswalk.
It's super smoky here today, after having a few days of clearer skies. The kids weren't exactly thrilled to be heading back, although it sounds like their first day went well.
We're busy getting grandson ready for his first day of middle school, the school district just changed/shifted grades between K-5, 6-8 and 9-12, should be an interesting first week.
Was suppose to get into the mid 90's (F) here, but the smoke has tempered that to the mid 80's. Having ash fall to make up for it.

@byrdlip Yes I do hope its a great year for them. Our kids are at a K-9 so they're still all in together. We're still hoping for some rain, it really hasn't rained significantly since early June?!!
Great shot of their first day and I love the rainbow crosswalk! Glad to hear they had a nice first day. They wouldn't even let the kids outside here for recess or before school because of the bad smoke :(
