She spent the day at home with me which was lovely. For 2 weeks she's been trying to get rid of the last of her cold, so today she just needed a day off. It's hard when she's been so busy.
It turned out to be a weird day. For anyone not living in our little neck of the woods, this story will sound totally crazy. There was a couple of Sulfuric Acid spills on the highway not far from here, earlier in the year. Yesterday I put our car in to get tested, although I didn't think I'd driven through the spill before it had been cleaned up. However the call that I expected would tell me I could come and collect our car, ended up confirming that I had indeed driven through the spill and our car was a write off. What is crazy is that several 100 cars have been written off, my guess would be it'll eventually be over 1000 (I can't find up-to-date numbers unfortunately). It's now hitting the National News https://globalnews.ca/video/4445163/damage-adds-up-from-trail-acid-spill
So now we are in the market for a new car. I've been blown away by how many of my friends have offered me the use of their cars since finding out the news too, you guys are so kind!
Oh that is crazy.. hope insurance and compensation gets you back on the road soon.. I guess any car you buy unless brand new will have yo be well checked..
And yes she has a beautiful smile... sweet girl..
@julzmaioro Yes, they do issue a certificate if it's been tested and it comes back negative. So unfortunately for people who know they didn't go through it, when selling their cars people will want to see that certificate!
What a shame your car had to be written off, but so glad nothing terrible happened while you were driving it. This is a gorgeous portrait of your lovely daughter.
