We went for a drive to Ward Beach to check out the impact after the 14th November 7.8 earthquake. The coastal uplift here was between 2.5 and 3m. It was so windy I nearly got blown over however it produced some spectacular waves. The road is still closed from here to Kaikoura but you can see the impact on the coastline here too.
