Road closed

This is one of the large slumps on our road from the mid-July storm event. Whilst we can drive through carefully (at our own risk) it is still officially closed. I guess the only positive is that I can use this photo for today's September word 'closed'
Oh no - looks like it could slide off the edge at any time!

Wow, great shot for 'closed' the broken road waiting for first aid. I wonder how long you will have to dance around it.

@dide That is our concern especially as the heavy rain keeps coming through, and it just seems to have slumped more each time we pass by.

@sandradavies That is unknown as yet although there is still some work being done on other parts of the damaged road now.

Wow be so careful Liana….I once saw a large hole just like this, well actually worse in the road in N Island….I was shocked as in the dark you suddenly came across it…just cones around it like this but in the dark no lights.

Oh this is in the Marlborough Sounds! I thought it might be in Titirangi - similar territory but wetter. You do seem to be getting the worst of the weather lately!

Oh dear!

@happypat I know - I was quite upset for the first couple of weeks when all the cones were used to mark a couple of small slips on the other road but not a cone in sight marking this and other dangerous slumps on our road.

@maggiemae Yes, we have had a bad run. They expect it to take 12 months or more to fix the whole length of the Kenepuru Road - and still it rains

@cherrick73 Now that is looking at it positively. Your comment made me smile!
