A general fiction that was powerful and sad
A chick lit that I enjoyed
A general fiction that was nothing special
A crime story that was fast paced and enjoyable
I also read a Robin Cook thriller on my kindle that was the most trashy and ridiculous book Ive ever read
Nice selection.
My list of July is: Awakenings by O. Sacks, Humans vs. Computers by G. Adzic, and a re-read of The Man Who Mistook His Wife For A Hat by O. Sacks.
I like the way you present the books you have read. Unfortunate I do not have enough time to read so many. Do you buy them Kathy, or are they from the library?
Nice mix of books. My selection for July was : Cider with Rosie (loved it), The Railway Man (excellent) and now I'm reading Foreign Tongue which is a bit average.
@ludwigsdiana Most of the books I read I have bought but I also inherit books from other people and sometimes I borrow from the library although not often as I have so many here to read. The Drop Off (above) was from the library, it has a sticker on it.
An interesting mix of books. One of my recent reads was 'Lockdown' by Peter May. A murder mystery set against the background of a flu pandemic, written about 15 years ago but only published last year. Interesting to compare his view of what a pandemic would be like, compared with the real thing.
You are the most prolific reader I know! I don't know where my time goes. I feel like I've accomplished something when I've read one or two articles out of a magazine!
among the books i've read the last week was "quarantine station" by michelle montebello. i found the book on amazon by chance while browsing for a good book to read. i quite like the plot and the twists are rather intriguing. i like that you do not limit your choices to just one genre. aces!
