Books I read in August by kjarn

Books I read in August

From top to bottom:

A general fiction that was a bit wordy but a great read
A psychological thriller that was a good read
A general fiction that was intense and sad but only mediocre
A crime story that I really enjoyed
A historical fiction which was surprisingly a good read
A psychological thriller that was a bit slow in parts but overall a good read.
You are so good to keep on reading! They all look like interesting reads to me.

@marlboromaam I really enjoy reading but there's also nothing much else to do in lockdown

When I run out of the stacks here at the house, or have time to read something different, I'm coming back to your monthly "read" photos.

Wow! That's quite a bunch.
My list goes:
Krista Marson's Memory Road Trip
Alan Bennet's The Uncommon Reader
Lynne Truss' Eats, Shoots and Leaves
Pradeep Soundararajan's Buddha In Testing
The first three are very enjoyable reads. The fourth is about finding inner peace in software testing - but...

@monikozi I will research your first 3 and maybe add them to my ever growing TBR list

@monikozi thanks. I tried to get myself a copy but it all went wrong and I couldn’t sign up. Never mind

An interesting selection and I've read NONE of them! Not getting much reading in at the moment, but currently working my way through a book of my dad's 'Elephant Bill' the story of a man who spent 25 years living with elephants in Burma. Quite fascinating!

An interesting selection. You must be a fast reader. I read quite a lot but don't get enough time in a day to get through as many books as you do.

@onewing Babs your life is way busier than mine with many varied interests. I just go to work and read.

You must be a quick reader! They all sound interesting. Ive only read one of these, Jessica, many years ago

@leggzy I possibly am but the main reason I get to read so much is because I don’t do anything else.

I started reading "Our House" but I haven't finished it yet. Can't decide if I am enjoying it or not........if you know what I mean!

@casablanca I do know what you mean, I found it slow in parts and also wasn’t sure early on but I ended up enjoying it

Nice to see your recent choices. I love to escape with a good book.

Your reading accomplishments are always impressive! I have borrowed a book from a friend and now my goal is to actually read it. It will not be as impressive as your pile when I'm done but I'll have to do a shot like this in honor of you when I'm done! (o;
