@vignouse well of course they are not endangering our bees, and they actually eat a wide range of insects. They should be keeping balance, it's humans that endanger our bees :)
We should keep it clear - nature is about balance, humans are about imbalance or is it unbalance?
@annied yeah, I mean who can go past a kooka, or a tawny, or a butcher bird, or a lorikeet, or oh well favourite is the wrong word, they are all number one? ;)
@koalagardens You're quite right - thank you for putting me in my place - mankind is the greatest danger the planet faces... with the exception of wonderful souls like yourself who dedicate their lives to meaningful conservation.
@vignouse suddenly feeling very humbled, thanks Richard you've made my day. I was called out last night to the most beautiful 2 year old healthy as anything female koala last night. Hit by a car. She didn't make it. We gotta make every difference we can in whatever small way we can don't we.
@jacqbb I volunteer with the koala rescue and rehab organisation here. I don't often do rescues, mostly I work sat and sun mornings in the care centre doing the medical treatments on the koalas in care.
car hits are a huge issue, and we lose koalas every week to this. All we can do is race out and get them, check their pouch for joey, and if we can save them it's a wonderful thing. this little girl died through the night sadly
