Rainbow starting week 2. This is a lovely tiny flower on a native plant - Commelina diffusa. It is often confused for a different species that looks similar and is not native but has a white, rather than the blue flower. Most people still think of it as a weed because it becomes invasive in a garden. I decided to faff with it a bit just to get to relax and play in PS on a Friday afternoon. Thank you for the awesome comments and questions on my photos.
@ludwigsdiana Glad you enjoyed it - I have admired your flower processing and often wonder how you achieve some of the delicate results.
One of my problems is remembering everything I do afterwards but it was something like this:
* adjustment layer brightness and contrast - add contrast
* adjustment layer vibrance both vib and sat increased til I was happy
* adjustment layer -selective colour and worked on reducing the greens of the leaves to muted blue colours (but left the one leaf in front to give some contrast)
* Filter artistic category - poster edges
* Filter- artistic category - paint daubs
* Liquify used just on background and leaves
* Then added the frames and my watermark
TADA :)
@koalagardens Thanks so much, I have not tried any of these yet. When I watch a tutorial I take notes as I too cannot remember anything. Some are so difficult to follow when they are not spoken, so I have given up on those. Apart from the ripples and reflections, all my flowers are done in Topaz Studio. Happy playing around, if I find something new on PS, I will let you know :-)
