love her little cap

I am finding the patterns on the female bowerbirds quite stunning, even if the colours are not there - especially the little black skull cap. Such a contrast to the dark yellow/orange skull cap of the male, but quite pretty in its own way too.
The warnings on the fires are that 'more bad fire weather is coming, so use the weekend to get ready'. :(
