For Get Pushed this week, Angela challenged me "... to go out a create a image with slow shutter speed. It should have a painterly quality to it. For inspiration look at Tony Sweet's work."
I used 1/25 second exposure with some downward camera motion, but wanted just a bit more detail in the branches than resulted, so I used it as an overlay on a still photo of the same scene, not worrying too much about perfect alignment. This is a little closer to what I had in my mind's eye.
I read one article where Tony Sweet described how he achieved some of his photos, and he does quite a bit of editing, so I don't feel too bad 'manipulating' this photo a bit to try to capture a grain of his style.
And thanks so much for the love on my last two pics: Winter Stars and Triangle Sister. Two on the PP at once today! ~happy dance~
@3whiteroses ~ Hi Angela, here is Attempt #1 for this week ~ Critique would be appreciated. I'd like to try again with a bit more colour, though I don't know if colour is in the cards for our winterwonderland weather this week.
@kph129 I see we are to be teamed up for Get Pushed Challenge, and i also see from your shot's and what you have said at the top you your page that, are full time mum to two children with this in mind. How about a abstract or different angle shot of a childs playground furniture not being used, hope this is not to difficult for you.
Good Luck
Paul.
