YES! I got a drop collision... So many misses that it's pretty exciting once I actually captured a decent one... right before my camera battery died. And, I like the colours too... Blue paper on the bottom of the glass pan, some residual red/pinks in the water from previous drop attempts, then a yellow food coloured milky water mix drip.

@northy ~ Thanks! The drips were from a medicine dropper taped to a stick about 60cm above my glass dish. On camera flash and external flash in front to the right of the drops, both with lower intensity for quicker flash to stop the action. I manually focussed on a screw place approx. where the drops hit, then used the 2sec timer on my camera, letting a few drops go when it got just past the 1sec mark. I could tell when the flash went on this one that I had hit something cool!
Hi Kristin, This is such a fantastic capture! Perfect timing; love the "crown"!!! I've tried many, many, many times----never worked---don't have an off-camera flash------- I truly appreciate your dedication. Now I own a flash, but haven't tried doing this again; your image gives me "hope"!!
Well done! Fabulous. I too have a love/hate relationship with water drops but mostly it's a hate relationship - it can take so much time and mess to get one. So bravo!! Colours, clarity, everything is perfect!
