My kids were at a three day swim meet so I'm just getting caught up on my shots. I'm the team's unofficial photographer. Here's one of the boys during his 200 freestyle race.
@redpants@daldry@krissym Thanks for your kind words. I think this was my best of the meet. He was under the skylight in the outside lane. I wish they all came out this clear!
@hannak@imc@jongguzman thank you for your kind words. I'm not too sure how I got it so clear but I like it! Took hundreds over the three days but this was my fav. action shot.
@bug Takes LOTS... I probably throw out 90% of my swim meet shots. I use my 70-200 F2.8 lens and set the F number low and shutter no less than 1/500. Get low down so you're almost parallel with the water. Look for the brighter spot in the pool and go there. Practice makes perfect! I shot in raw so I can adjust the White balance later. There's funny lighting in the pool!
