Starfish by kwind

Starfish

This starfish was carried by a bird and left for dead on our upstairs balcony a while ago. We finally cleaned it yesterday and it was bleached and dried out. I turned it over and got this shot using my macro lens.

Your enthusiasm for my last two pictures is incredible... thank you all!!
Great capture! Love the lines and texture!

It would be amazing even without the explanation, which only enhances it. The textures and patterns are really incredible. Thought maybe it was part of a tree!
