My neighbour called me this morning to tell me this eagle was between our houses on a log just past the grass. No more than 50 feet away from the house. He/she sat there for HOURS!
S/he looks sad!! What a grand capture and wonderful lighting and details!! I hope their wasn't anything wrong with it!! They are such majestic birds and you captured it perfectly!!! FAV!
What a photo, Kim. Majestic subject framed by the colors of his natural setting. He looks a little weary. Perhaps he's older and the journey north is more taxing than it use to be. Glad he stopped at your place to take a break; it gave us all a chance to see him thanks to you and your camera.
Oh, he is gorgeous! I like the darker surroundings (light vignette?) - it highlights him so nicely! Great focus and a wonderful background - I wish I could see this out of my window. Thanks to the neighbour - great capture.
Wow, cannot believe I missed this the first time around....now that I think about it I have been missing a lot of your shots!
