Photography & the Art of Seeing - Barriers to Seeing entry. On page 8 of the book Freeman Patterson said "If you look at a fern and say "Yes, that's a fern" you may not be seeing past the old familiar label of its name. But if you really see a fern, you will notice triangularity, individual leaf fibres, ..." A photo of a couple of ferns.
Nice patterns.

I was at one my photo groups annual picnics at a state park and was photographing a fern. A friend was attending with a quest and the quest was asking why I was photographing a simple fern. I did hit him or reach for his neck, but tried to explain about the patterns and how the light was doing wonderful things. He walked still shaking his head as he could not see what was there.

@chapjohn Thank You. It is funny how people can see without really seeing.

Lovely contrasting colours Laura. Also like the way it depicts "new and old" at once :)
@chapjohn had to chuckle when I read your comment, my husband does that at times !! Lol :)

Hello! Thanks for the challenge. Mine to you is to create a picture contrasting old and new. I forgot about the time difference so I'm not sure if it's still Sunday there...
