Took a short drive to assategue island this morning . On the lookout for the wild ponies that have lived here for around 300 years. Was lucky enough to come upon them by the side of the road. Pulled over and got this shot before they all spread out and eventually crossed the road in front of me to get over to the marshes . The ocean isn't very far behind them. @lindag Linda I've been coming to the beach forever but had only been here once and didn't see ponies then. It is a very pretty place with a lot of campers.
