We decided to go lay flowers at Bob's dad gravesite in Arlington National Ceremony. Got there when they opened at 8 am. There was a bit of a backup as you can imagine it being Memorial Day. It is a very beautiful yet sad place. So many lost to protect and preserve our freedom. They all share a common thread. Thank You For Serving
Great photo tribute. I used to live right around the corner form this cemetary, but it never is something you "get used to," It is always impactful to see those white stones marching in very long lines of sacrifice.
@lesip Thank you, Leslie. I am sad that only one of the original ducks is left. The one with the white fro has gone and the gray one was limping then gone and both brown and white ones are gone. Now just the tall black one is there with his mate and a couple of others. Still a lot in the lake area but not the same. Hoping for baby geese this weekend.
