Bracelet

I found this fragile bracelet in my grandmother's jewelry collection. I used Google to find out what the YLRL stood for and discovered that it was the Young Ladies Radio League, a women only amateur radio operator group . I knew that my grandmother was a ham radio operator in the 50s and 60s and it was interesting to know that she treasured this bracelet for many years after she gave up her hobby.
Beautiful!

So the jewellery-making runs in the family?? The history of this piece is priceless - who would have thought such an organisation existed. I love this on many levels.
