A few months ago, I posted a photo of Doris's dog Princess, who was very old and frail. She passed away about a week after I took the photos. Doris spent two months grieving, and finally decided to visit our local adoption center. This is her new dog, Prince. Her heart is still broken but there is room enough to love this little guy too.
What a lovely portrait of both of them; I can see the love and caring in Doris's face, and I'm sure she and Prince will bring much joy to each other. I have always though that the best memorial to a beloved animal who has died, is to adopt another when one is ready. This is a fav for me.
