This is a library book, one that I have been excitedly waiting to read. Does it bother anyone else to find lines and doodles and black boxes in a library book? I felt like they had licked the pages and left their germy ideas all over the words.
Hmmm can't say I have ever borrowed a book abused this way. I would like to find that person & have a small chat with them. Someone should remind them what a priviledge it is to be able to borrow books
Yes, I find that annoying in a library book. If it's someone's own book, they can do whatever they like, but I don't like writing in my books or library books.
I think this is dreadful thing to do to any book which is not one's own. When I worked as a librarian (in a university library) we would sometimes find that students had torn pages or whole sections out of books.
What a disappointment to find this book marked up with someone else's opinion. I like to read a story without anyone else's input swaying how I feel about the words or passages. I bet the library will be disappointed about this too.
