Late night fashion statement

What kind of man packs 8 black ties for a trip?? And why does he even own 8 black ties? I do not understand his fashion sense but I'm glad to find something to take a photo of at 10:30 pm. (And he's too kind to ask what kind of a crazy woman takes photos of ties in strange rooms at 10:30pm)
