White-lined sphinx moth by lindasees

White-lined sphinx moth

It's not a hummingbird, but it looks like one and flies like one. It only took 30 pictures to get just this one showing the lovely markings, the pretty coral pink color of the back hindwing and the white stripes on the forewing. Nope, I'm not obsessive-compulsive or anything!
Love this....fab colours and light....never seen one of those little dears before.

What a stunning moth. Similar to Convolvulus and Bedstraw hawk moths we occasionally get as migrants here but those lines are very distinctive.Excellent
