Why die?

Here in South Dakota, when someone dies in a traffic accident, the State government puts up a sign nearby. "Why die?" it asks, and reminds us to drive safely. Tiny memorials of flowers and stuffed animals often sprout up soon after, and there they stay, quietly moldering as the seasons pass.

Oh wow. I've seen roadside memorials of crosses and flowers, but the signs are a great idea.

People here put up crosses, flowers and photos but I've never seen a sign like that

Quite a sign to attract the eye...we don't have a sign but, I think it would be a great idea..So sad,

Same as all the above, it would be a great idea if there are not too many. Here the streets would be lined with those.

We don’t have the notice but over here we do get all the memorials along the roads and accident black spots.
