Once best of friends, my daughter's faithful companions now sit gathering dust as they watch over her from the shelf. (My daughter was a preemie, weighing only 19 ounces when she was born. Raggedy Ann was her first and most faithful friend. She sat by her side in the incubator while she spent the first 4 months of her life in the NICU).
