Colors of Autumn 14

This little mushroom was standing tall yesterday but after a night of heavy rain and strong winds it's laying on it's side today. I imagined it would soon be covered with a blanket of pine needles and ready for winter!

A perfectly formed mushroom...is it the eating kind I wonder? Looks too perfect for an ordinary run of the mill eating mushroom, you have to be so careful.
