Walking buddy

Took a long leisurely walk with Lucy this morning and went out to do some errands............ Unfortunately while I was out Lucy had eaten 2 large dark chocolate bars that were part of my husband's birthday gift from our daughter. The veterinarian confirmed that she ate a toxic amount for her body weight and it was an emergency. I got her to the vet asap and after they got her to throw it all up gave her a chicken dinner covered in gooey black charcoal! After they injected a large amount of saline under her skin (she looked like a camel!) we were able to go home. We're so grateful to the vets who worked fast!
That had to have been scary for you ( and probably Lucy, too). Glad it worked out ok.

Our friends labrador once age a full box of Thornton's chocolate while they were out. It nearly killed the poor thing. Scary how something were love can be so harmful to our faithful friends. Hope Lucy is recovering well. It"s a lovely image 😊

The trials and tribulations of having a doggie who thought his Christmas had come early !! So glad you spotted his gluttonous behaviour and took him to the vets pronto ! and all were resolved ! Glad Lucy is OK -- perhaps you should rename her Lucky !! Such a wonderful shot of you both !

Sorry to hear about Lucy, but glad she's ok now. Our little Bichon did the same thing and eventually threw up on her own. It's a shame they can't tell what's bad for them. My son's dog just had surgery to remove a corn cob. It's tough owning a dog!
