Fall in the midwest is rather weird. There aren't a lot of trees, and there are a lot of bugs, so some years the bugs eat the leaves before they get a chance to change colors or it's too dry and the leaves just die in the August heat. I remember a couple of years that we had nice color, but

Thanks all! Yes, Lisa, fall colors in the midwest are pretty spotty, and nowhere near as dramatic as the east. We do have the beans and corn turning brown, though!
