abstract angels

I decided to take some food colouring shots because I had not yet tried any.
My make-shift rig was a DVD on pause (white screen on the TV) behind my square vase full of water. Set camera on the tripod, manually focus on a stick held temporarily in the centre of the vase, custom white balance and away I went.... I dropped the colours in one drop at a time, and after a few attempts, found the rhythm of the water and started combining colours as if I was painting a 3D canvas.
There were lots of practice shots, with plenty looking like a 2 year-old had been finger painting, but I quite liked this one. :D
